I made this piece of Celtic embroidery to celebrate the birth of my daughter, Ellen.  Its creation also provided me with a form of meditation, allowing me to overcome the sever side effects of my medication for a moment.

I really enjoyed making this hat, it gave me the chance to work on the sewing machine which I'm passionate about. It was quite a challenge to make something so large in 3D, and I am surprised at how different the finished effect is Prickly Pringley

This headpiece was inspired by ball cacti : dotty, bumpy and highly textured surfaces. The Agave plant, with its fleshy, elegant leaves suggested the form. Before doing this project, I had a bit of a pet hate for cacti, but I see them differently now
