Within 12 years in mental health, I managed to capture something that does not belong to me but it belongs to others e.g.. model girls smiling, droplets of water captured in macro lens, landscape of England, Lake District, landscape within hot weathe

I painted this piece of glass as part of my Cities & Guilds exam in signwriting.  The exam was taken at Park Corner Vocational Services which is part of the Sandwell Mental Health Group. Dragonfly

This headpiece was inspired by the plump and fleshy leaves of the succulent variety of cacti. I inflated textures 'pillows' of clay to replicate what I saw and arranged them in a rosette pattern to re-create the form I was attracted to.

I did it whilst detained under the Mental Health Act. My son was in care and I wasn't able to visit him at this time. We used to go to Ringwood Owl Sanctuary and he enjoyed flying the owls. Also owls symbolise wisdom.
